Secrets of Spiritual Power
(Isaiah 40:25-31)

I. God is the source of all the power in the universe (vs. 25-26).

Finally,... Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10)

God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this that Power belongs to God. (Ps. 61:11)

II. There is no one like God who can do anything and maintains everything.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:16-17)

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? (Genesis 18:14)

III. The power is contained and imparted through God's word.

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the [ [out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. (Hebrews 1:3) (See Hebrews 4:12 also)

IV. The simple act of complaining will rob you of experiencing the power of God vs. 27.

* Every time you complain you:

  1. increase your pain,
  2. decrease your resolve,
  3. get stuck deeper in the pit you dug for yourself
  4. get further from the truth that can set you free.

V. God doesn't faint or get weary.

VI. His understanding is unsearchable.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33)

VII. The greatest potential for God's power to be given is in your weakness (2 Cor. 12:9).

But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!

VII. The secret of receiving God's power is to exchange your weakness for His strength. That renewal or exchange happens when we learn to wait on the Lord. (Psalms 27:14)
