Living with the Motivation
of a Heavenly Vision
(Acts 26:15-18)
I have appeared to thee for this purpose.
I. There are three requirements.
A. God must make you a servant or minister. (vs. 16)
Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants. (Luke 15:18)
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45)
B. God must make you a witness. (vs. 16)
C. God must deliver you from the people. (vs. 17)
1. The pain from the people.
For is is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, And walked to the house of God in the throng. (Psalms 55:12-14)
2. The fear of the people.
Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.
II. There are five levels within the heavenly vision.
A. To open their eyes. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
B. To turn them from darkness to light.
C. From the power of Satan unto the power of God.
D. To receive the forgiveness of sin.
E. To receive a God given inheritance.
III. The real value of our life will be our dedication and obedience to the heavenly vision.
